San Diego Padres defeat Milwaukee Brewers 7-6 – MLB Recap
San Diego Padres defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 7-6 in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Wednesday, October 3 at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
"It was on my mind, but you couldn't think about it too much, To go out and compete against a guy like Ryan Braun, I was a little nervous, but everything turned out great. It's just neat. It's a tremendous honor," Chase Headley said later in the game and talked to the media regarding his team’s overall performance.
Padres’ played beautifully during the entire game and rattled the Brewers with great focus. Their entire pitchers and hitters showed aggressive plays and won the game in style.
"For Chase to hang on to the RBI lead was a great thing, It was awesome. That RBI thing was real. Our guys felt it. And looking over at their side, I think they felt it, too. They were sensing what was going on," San Diego manager Bud Black said on his team’s winning combination who won the last game of 2012 Major League Baseball regular season.                  
Padres did not let the Brewers dominate and eventually went past with ease. Though Brewers fought back in middle stages of the game, but still could not finish it on high note against the Padres’ overall brilliance.
Padres’ pitchers played aggressive and outclassed the Brewers’ batting line-up with great determination. They kept the Brewers’ hard hitters under pressure and did not give them any chance to score freely.
Starter Andrew Werner pitched 2.2 innings and received six runs and seven hits. He struck-out two while his ERA remained consistent at 5.58. Werner was the only player who received six runs later as none of the Padres' player were allowed any run which proved one of the winning factors for them.
On the other hand, the Brewers' Josh Stinson pitched four innings and received one run and three hits on his 0.96 ERA.
Kameron Loe pitched one inning and received three hits and two runs on his 4.61 ERA. He was hammered with big hits by the Padres' hitters while his ERA rose to 4.61 ERA which proved one of the losing factors for the Brewers.
