San Francisco 49ers Randy Moss’ motivation level is high, says Brandon Jacobs – NFL News
Randy Moss is 35-years-old. He missed an entire National Football League (NFL) season after announcing retirement and later took that decision back.
Before sitting out the season, he had represented five National Football League (NFL) teams. He has spent more than a decade in the professional league and the player has now joined his sixth NFL team.
Moss has seen and experienced a lot in his professional life, but his motivation level is still high and he seems hungry for more.
Moss has recently joined San Francisco 49ers and, the team’s another recent signing, running back Brandon Jacobs, who parted ways with the New York Giants to join the 49ers, is pretty impressed with the veteran.
Jacobs is of the view that Moss is going to silence his critics who think that he will not be able to perform well in the 2012 season. Jacobs told Jim Rome of ROME:
“His [Moss] motivation level is high. I think Moss has a chip on his shoulder. I’ve spoken to him a lot, and he starts off everything with, 'Just wait.' He's got a chip on his shoulder, he's ready to go out there and show everybody that he can play still."
Moss’ last NFL appearance was in the 2010 season when he represented the Tennessee Titans. In that season, he also represented New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings by playing four games for each team.
49ers have very high hopes of Moss. He and many other players have joined the 49ers to strengthen their offensive unit, which was relatively weaker during the last season.
After staging a brilliant performance in the 2011 season, 49ers are entering the 2012 season as one of the Super Bowl contenders.
Moss has 10 seasons to his credit in which he registered over 1,000 receiving yards. In total, he has 14,858 yards to his name on 954 receptions. He has also scored a total of 153 touchdowns.
Moss’ presence is already benefitting 49ers and their young players as many of them have received help from the veteran during their offseason workout.
Moss is looking forward to participating actively in training camp and getting ready for a busy schedule after that.
