San Francisco 49ers WR Randy Moss excited to face his former team Minnesota Vikings – NFL News
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss has represented five different teams in his National Football League (NFL) career that spans over 10 years. After missing the entire last season, Moss was lucky to get selected by 49ers this year and he continues
to receive surprises as the season progress.
49ers have got to a winning start to the season and they are 2-0 after first two weeks and Moss, thankfully, played important roles in the victories.
In Week 3, 49ers are now going to face Minnesota Vikings, the team with which Moss started his career back in 1998.
Moss spent seven seasons with the Vikings and was their key player. He later joined Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots and once again returned to Minnesota, but could not do anything special for them as he was released shortly.
Moss, 35, is in the final stages of his career as an NFL player and visiting the team with which he started his career has made him excited. According to the details present on the team’s website, Moss said of visiting Minnesota to face Vikings:
“I'm just very fortunate to go back to where it all started. We had some great times in Minnesota, so I look forward to hearing the Metrodome rock.”
Moss has received many honours in his entire career. He has been named to Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams while getting a number of other awards. However, he is yet to win any Super Bowl title.
With 49ers, the veteran has a strong chance of earning his first Super Bowl ring and although it is pretty soon to predict the outcome of the season, the 49ers’ explosive start has made them a strong contender to win the title.
Moss said of winning Super Bowl:
"I'm not really thinking about Super Bowl, but that really is the only thing missing on my resume. You got to take it one game at a time, one day at a time, one practice at a time.”
He added:
“It's too early to say, third week, where we're going or where we're headed. The only thing we can do is to come out here and get better each day and hopefully we keep going up."
