San Francisco 49ers WR Randy Moss feeling “good and excited” – NFL News
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss is excited on the prospects of stepping on the field again after missing the entire 2011 National Football League (NFL) season.
Moss, who has experience of playing more than 10 seasons in the league with four different teams, is making a fresh start this week as the 49ers prepare to face the Green Bay Packers at the latter’s home field for their first game of the 2012 season this
Sunday.
Moss joined the 49ers this offseason and might start for them against Packers, who are a very dominating unit and once again entering the season as Super Bowl contenders.
The veteran wide receiver is surrounded by a lot of fresh blood as the 49ers have a number of young and energetic players and Moss has so far enjoyed being around him.
He also has fun with his teammates in the locker room, but when it comes to playing, there is no room for anything else.
Moss is of the view that if the 49ers want to defeat the Packers, they must practise hard and prepare themselves in the best possible way. According to the details present on the team’s website, Moss said:
“You’ve got to prepare yourself, because if you’re not prepared, how are you going to have success? I prepare myself every day, from minicamp, training camp to now. Today is the first day of Week 1. I feel pretty good and I’m excited. It feels good to be
back in the league. It feels good I made the team. I’m very excited. I look forward to a good game Sunday.”
The Packers won the Super Bowl in the 2010 season and it looked like they would win the title again in the 2011 season as they ended the regular season with only one defeat. However, they were defeated in the playoffs and were eliminated but their explosive
offence has once again made them a force to reckon with.
49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh is aware of the challenge. He said of the game:
“We face, first, a daunting challenge. This is a great Green Bay Packer team. And it’s going to take, first and foremost, a phenomenal week of preparation by all of us, coaches, players.”
