San Francisco 49ers fullback Bruce Miller stresses on tight preparation for New York Giants – NFL News
San Francisco 49ers fullback Bruce Miller has urged his teammates to prepare well to face the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants this Sunday, saying that the game is going to be a tough challenge for both teams.
49ers have performed amazingly well during their last two games, in which the defence was at its best, while the offence also left no stone unturned is matching the class shown by other units of the team.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Miller has urged the players to carry the winning momentum into this weekend’s game and get their third straight victory. Miller said:
“This will be another good physical game that we have to prepare for – the next game on our schedule is always the most important one. We’ve got to continue to build on what we’ve done so far, running the football and I think we did a lot better in the passing
game. We can build on that and keep running the football as well.”
The current winning streak for 49ers has established after the team’s triumph over New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.
In both these games, the offence has scored a total of 79 points, while the defence has only given away three points.
49ers have only lost one game so far in the season and are looking pretty solid.
49ers have successfully carried on their last year’s momentum into this year and if they can continue their recent form, Giants will have to face troubles.
Giants offence is led by quarterback Eli Manning, who is an exceptional player when it comes to playing under pressure. So, it is expected that Giants will be able to register some scoring moves against 49ers.
However, nothing can be predicted as both teams are well capable of changing course of any game on the field.
49ers are specially preparing to counter Manning and limit his throwing options. Defensive tackle Ray McDonald said of Manning:
“He’s in the elite class of QBs in this league. We don’t expect anything less. He’s going to get hit, keep getting up, and keep making good throws. That’s what happens with a guy like that.”
