San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh hopes to bounce back – NFL News
After a heartbreaking loss against the St. Louis Rams in Week 13, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has hoped to bounce back, while accepting the blame of the defeat.
It was the second time this season that the 49ers were unable to outscore the Rams. Both teams faced each other in Week 10 game that ended in a tie, while in Week 13 the Rams were able to outclass the 49ers.
Harbaugh has hoped that his team will perform well in the rest of the season to finish it strongly and carry the winning momentum into the postseason. According to the details present on the team’s website, Harbaugh said:
“It’s a tough loss. It’s not one that you wake up this morning and it’s not, that gut wrenching feeling is still there. The positive things are we still have a quarter of the season to play, four games; we’re in position to control our own destiny and bounce
back. It might certainly be a bit of an edge I would expect because we all take responsibility that we didn’t get it done this past week.”
Rams’ victory was not out of luck. In fact, the Rams have surprisingly done well this season to win games especially against the divisional opponents. The Rams have beaten all teams of National Football Conference (NFC) West this season, though their overall
record is not very impressive. However, it is still better than the last season, enough to satisfy the fans and the higher management.
Even Harbaugh has appreciated that Rams played very well against the 49ers. Harbaugh said of Rams:
“It’s a good football team.”
Talking about the competition the Rams gave the 49ers during two meetings this season, Harbaugh said:
“They’ve definitely played us tough both games and I think we’ve played tough in both those football games.”
Meanwhile, other players have also expressed the hopes of bouncing back in the last quarter of the season. 49ers have four games left in the season while they are still enjoying the top spot in NFC West. Still, victories are must for them if they want to
secure a playoff berth.
