San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh rates Buffalo Bills as “dangerous team” – NFL News
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has said that Buffalo Bills is a dangerous team that has good quality players on offence as well as on defence.
Talking to reporters on Wednesday, October 03, 2012, Harbaugh shed some light on his team’s preparation for Week 5 game against Bills this Sunday and commented on the Bills and their recent performance.
49ers have lost only one of their four games this season and they are coming off an impressive 34-0 victory against New York Jets to face Bills.
Bills, on the other hand, are 2-2 and coming off a stunning defeat against New England Patriots. They are ranked third in American Football Conference (AFC) East behind Jets.
Bills were leading by halftime against the Pats, but gave away 45 points in the final half to lose the game.
49ers can exploit Bills defence, but Harbaugh knows that Bills are not going to present their flaws once again.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Harbaugh said of Bills and their recent performance:
“Well, a dangerous team. Statistically a very good football team. Explosive team on both sides of the ball. This will be the best defensive line that we’ve played so far this year. And solid defence, again, very aggressive. Can make things happen.”
The 49ers head coach continued:
“Offensively, you see it from the running game. You see the explosion from the passing game. Ability to put up points, and generate those big numbers. Some turnovers have gotten in their way, but if those were eliminated they would be one of the most effective,
explosive teams in the National Football League.”
Keeping Bills’ recent performance in view, 49ers have a clear edge against them, but Harbaugh is well aware of what happened with his team in Week 3 against Minnesota Vikings.
49ers got off to a 2-0 start to the season and when they faced Vikings, it was expected that they would easily outscore their opponents. However, 49ers surprisingly lost that game 24-13, and although they did well to beat Jets in the next game, Harbaugh
does not want his players to take any opponent lightly.
