San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh shifts his attention to next game – NFL News
After defeating the New Orleans Saints in a comprehensive manner in Week 12 game, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has now shifted his attention to Week 13 game in which they will face the St. Louis Rams.
This game is very important because the two National Football Conference (NFC) West opponents ended their last meeting in a tie and both are looking to secure a win this time.
However, Harbaugh has clearly mentioned that he is not focusing on any unfinished business, saying that new game brings new opportunities.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Harbaugh said:
“The new business is, it’s this game, this most important game because it’s our next game. I just have really clear focus on that. It’s not about unfinished business, it’s about new business, getting prepared to travel well, prepare to practice well, prepare
to go there and do what it takes to be victorious.”
With just five more games left in the season, 49ers must stay on winning track and qualify for the playoffs as a better seeded team. Three of their next games will be played against NFC West rivals.
The 49ers are currently leading NFC West at 8-2-1 and if they manage to win all their divisional games they will have a great advantage.
The 49ers are in amazing form at present. They played a physical matchup against the Saints, who are also an amazing side, but could not beat the opponents.
The defence was special against the Saints as it got a couple of scores after interception Saints quarterback Drew Brees in second and third quarter.
Harbaugh said of his team’s performance against the Saints:
“A lot of positives from this game. Like we thought watching the game live, one of the hardest-hitting games of the season, both teams. And proud of our guys in so many different areas.”
Meanwhile, Harbaugh also said that he would evaluate the overall game to ascertain areas of improvement, but maintained that the team performed well and commented:
“Really proud of the win and the way our guys competed.”
