San Francisco Giants’ Freddy Sanchez doubtful for season opener – MLB Update
The San Francisco Giants’ experienced campaigner at second base Freddy Sanchez might not be playing in the team’s opening game on April 6 due to his late recovery process that has also damaged his Spring Training in Arizona.
Giants’ issued a statement telling the media about Sanchez’s potential absence which might prolonged to the mid season. The team management was feeling enormous amount of pressure by the local press on Sanchez’s continuous absence from Cactus League.
Virtually after every game, since the Training sessions have begun, reporters have been asking questions from the Giants’ managers and coaches as to when Sanchez will be making his comeback and how much time he still needs to recover fully from his late
surgery after affects.
Though earlier the Giants’ manager, coaches and other executives made sure that they must be sending the positive and somewhat optimistic message out there regarding Sanchez and his recovery, but lately the top team management issued a statement and revealed
as their talented second baseman might not be participating in their season opener next month.
Giants’ manager Bruce Bochy lately explained in the media with lots of details saying, "I guess you have to say that's a possibility. We're down to two weeks, and he hasn't gotten out there yet. We're still optimistic that we'll get him out there, but each
day that goes by the possibility grows a little bit that he's not going to be ready. Once he takes a good infield and feels like he can play in a game, we'll put him out there, but not until then,"
Last June, Sanchez’s left shoulder was dislocated and he underwent a surgery. Although the surgery went well, but still the after affects of the surgery are worrying him to play a fully loaded opening game in the upcoming regular season.
The experts are predicting that around mid season of 2012, Sanchez will be able to make a successful come back. Until then, he must continue the hard work in order to play again for the Giants and in a triumphant manner.
The Giants will be hoping that Sanchez makes a quick and complete recovery from his surgery as he is a positive contributor to the team.
