San Francisco Giants look to revise batting order – MLB News
It looks as if the San Francisco Giants are looking to update and revise their strong batting order before the 2011 MLB regular season begins.
Special emphasis will be given to the middle part of the batting order, to add some strength and depth to their offence. Although the Giants’ batting order is already quite strong, the team feels that it is important to re-organise to get the maximum results.
The Giants are now starting to realise the strength of the other top tier teams in Major League Baseball and their respective batting orders.
As Pablo Sandoval has been putting in some brilliant batting performances during the spring session, the Giants are looking to possibly put him up in the batting order before the regular season begins. Players like Buster Posey and Aubrey Huff would remain
where they are at or quite possibly move one place up or down in the order depending on the inclusion of Sandoval during the season.
The Giants’ manager Bruce Bochy is carefully looking at the current batting line-up and their subsequent performance during the spring session to determine the sequence for the regular season. Sandoval is currently showing some great form as Bochy said,
"He looks like he's getting his timing down. That's great for us to see. He looks like he's on a mission to get back to his form of a couple of years ago."
San Francisco is going to be defending their World Series title this year and will be seriously scrutinizing every aspect of their team. The batting order plays a huge part for the Giants, as they are an aggressive team that likes to come out early and put
runs up on the board. That is why the team is careful with their line-up and will be looking to make sure they get it right.
The strength and depth of the Giants is one of the best in MLB. They have a tremendous amount of talent to use, getting the right balance is crucial for the team as defend their title as they put their faith in their batting line-up.
