San Francisco Giants lose to Miami Marlins 6-7 – MLB Recap
The San Francisco Giants lost to Miami Marlins 6-7 in the first game of their three-match regular series encounter on Friday, May 25 at Marlins Park, Miami in 2012 Major League Baseball season and took a early strong lead in the series.
The Marlins held the Giants in last inning and took the game away in style leaving them with no chance to comeback as well. Starter Steve Cishek played well in the defining inning and helped his team to surpass the Giants with one run’s margin.
"It's the ultimate adrenaline-rush situation, It's something you always dream about doing." Cishek said on his performance and his other teammates combined effort.
Later the Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said on his team’s team, who looked extremely jubilant on the level of commitment his team showed, “I had a gut feeling he's not throwing well, He gets paid to close games. It's a very hard, uncomfortable move. Your
closer is your closer, but from the beginning I didn't feel comfortable with it. I needed a different look. But he's going to be back there as my closer tomorrow."
The Marlins Chris Coghlan also played well and played a handy role in his team’s win.
"I don't even know what I'm hitting. I just know it's not good, You don't think about those things. Every time you step in the box you try to feel like you're hitting 1.000." Chris Coghlan said.
The Giants’ struggled from start and never settled down till the ninth inning eventually lost the game with bitter humiliation.
Experts believe that this particular win has given the Marlins’ roster great confidence which were recently not performing well.
At the moment, they are sitting at fourth position in the National League East Division with 25-21 overall win loss and with .543 winning percentage.
The Giants’ on the other hand, are in second position in the National League West and carry a reasonable winning percentage of .522 along with 24-22 win loss record.
