San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera looking upbeat – MLB News
The 2012 Major League Baseball season is giving strength to the San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera.
He is feeling quite upbeat and looking to dominate his opponents. His team-mates including manager Bruce Bochy is also quite optimistic on his recent form.
Bochy, especially is looking confident for his outfielder who has come from Kansas City Royals in this summer.
Currently his hitting average is consistent at .308 along with 10 home-runs and .364 OBP. These are far better stats from last season first six weeks with the Royals.
According to Bochy, who lately commented in the media for Cabrera’s game, is optimistic for his next outings in the season as well saying, "If you look at Melky, he's a real good on-base guy and he's balanced on both sides, He might not have the power that
Pablo has, but he's a guy with a lot of things you like from a three-hole hitter. He can hit lefties and righties. He can run. To me he was the perfect choice when Pablo went down because of the talent he has."
In the latest game against the Milwaukee Brewers, once again the Giants’ new outfielder played a very good role in his team’s 5-2 win. He hit enormously well and gave the Giants a good early stand. On the other hand, the rest was done by the Giants pitchers,
who held the Brewers until the end and took away a fine victory.
These kinds of consistent and fine performances always bring players in the limelight. However, the late performance of Cabrera is not the first performance which has brought him into media limelight, but from start of the season, he has been quite persistent
with his hitting and that is the main reason why everybody praising his role for their franchise.
Cabrera is a highly experienced Major League player and playing from 2005. This is his fourth club where he is showing his skills. Before coming into the Giants, Cabrera has played with the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals.
This is his very first year with the Giants, but if he stayed further in the club, he will gain more experience and can give more consistent plays to his new franchise.
