San Francisco Giants’ players perform well in All Star Game – MLB News
The San Francisco Giants’ players have performed tremendously in this year’s All Star Game with some batting and pitching prowess.
Melky Cabrera and Matt Cain were the most promising players in the National League All-Star while both represent the San Francisco Giants’ in Major League Baseball.
Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval were two other players from the Giants who certainly outclassed the American League in their 8-0 defeat.
Sandoval, who is a key player in the Giants’ roster, played well during the All Star Game. The Giants’ players showed the rest of the League why they are considered to be some of the most talented in baseball.
Pablo discussed his performance and said, "We were trying to show the fans that we support them, where the ball was going to end up, so I just put my head down and ran."
Starting pitcher Matt Cain performed with his well known fast balls which did not give any chance to the American League players to attack them at any point of the game. Instead he kept his fast deliveries intact and eventually finished his two innings’
spell not receiving any run.
"I can't thank fans enough for voting these guys in, It's always fun to watch Pablo run the bases,” Cain said with confidence.
The new All-Star Most Valuable Player Melky Cabrera also performed very well. He not only played brilliantly but he was the only player in the National League who looked confident. His two run homer in the fourth inning certainly proved one of the winning
factors for the National League. He was later declared MVP for this year’s All-Star Game.
Cabrera said, "I didn't come to win an MVP, That's just a surprise. It's a great gift that the Lord gave me. But the opportunity that Kansas City gave me last year is the same opportunity that San Francisco is giving me every day to showcase my talent. It's
a gift to have them here.”
Experts believe that this is a healthy sign for the Giants as three of their top players are performing well which will ultimately help them to win the title.
