San Francisco Giants ready to face Cincinnati Reds in game three of NLDS – MLB Update
San Francisco Giants’ are ready to face the Cincinnati Reds in game-three of National League Divisional Series on Tuesday, October 9 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
Currently the Reds are leading the five-game series 2-0. The Reds’ Homer Bailey is expected to start the game for Cincinnati on Tuesday evening.
He is having a good season with 3.68 ERA along with 13-10 win-loss, 168 strike-outs and 1.24 WHIP. This is a golden chance for him to start the third game and prove his valour to help the Reds’ finish the series on a high note.
"I will probably be somewhat oblivious to it, just like any starter on game day, Unless there is a streaker running across, you're just focused on what you're doing," Bailey said as he explained to the media as how his team and overall roster will be playing while he also discussed his own preparations for the upcoming thriller.
Ryan Vogelsong with 3.37 ERA on the other hand, will start for the Giants. According to recent news, Vogelsong has a very good chance to show his skills which could help his team bounce back in the series.
"The cliche is to say it's just another game, but I feel `just another game' doesn't count when you're talking about the postseason, when you're talking about being down 0-2 in a series, you can't say it's just another game, either," said right-hander Ryan Vogelsong said as he explained how important this game is for the entire Giants’ roster.
Later Reds’ Drew Stubbs also expressed to the media about his team’s preparation to play in San Francisco and what probably he and his team’s is thinking to matchup against the Giants as he said, "I slept on the plane, got here, got my stuff, got breakfast (at a restaurant) and went back to bed, slept a couple of hours and made myself get up."
Meanwhile, both teams are looking forward to this big day. Giants will play to stay in the series, while the Reds’ know if they kept their cool, they have a very good chance to defeat the San Francisco Giants in-front of their home crowd.
