San Francisco Giants thrash Texas Rangers 5-2 – MLB Recap
The San Francisco Giants thrashed the Texas Rangers 5-2 in the second game of their three-match regular series encounter on Saturday, June 9 at AT&T Park in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
With this win, the Giants also levelled the series 1-1 as first game was won by the Rangers 5-0.
"He's got a maniacal focus that you love, That's a tough lineup. What a job he did." Giants’ manager Bruce Bochy said for his team’s combined win.
Coming into this game, the Giants were very confident and confidently they finished the game with big win.
The entire Giants’ roster played well and smoothly took the game away. Especially the pitchers exceptionally played well and helped the Giants to level the series.
Starter Ryan Vogelsong received only three hits and gave one run in his 7.2 innings. He struck out three Giants’ Rangers batters and maintained his 2.26 ERA.
"It's big, to keep the lineup going and push some runs across," said catcher Buster Posey for Giants’ team effort which literally gave no chance to the Rangers to bounce back at stage of the game.              
Texas' pinch hitter Mitch Moreland later said for the Rangers loss, "It was just one run and we didn't get what we wanted, I don't worry about us being down too long. We'll come back and get back on track."
The Texas manager Ron Washington also said, "It might be a long time before he gets five straight hits in the big leagues again, It just doesn't happen that often."
The overall game was played on high pace but the actual reason of Rangers’ defeat was their starter Scott Feldman’ poor performance.
He remained waivered with his ball and was not look comfortable on the mound. He pitched 5.1 innings and gave only three runs and four hits. He not only could save the game for his team but he also remained unproductive throughout the game.

In the meanwhile, the Rangers despite losing this game still possessing the top spot in the American League West Division with 34-26 win loss along with .567 winning percentage.
