San Francisco Zoo area housing?

I applied for a job at the SF zoo. Now in the unlikely event that I actually get the position, where could I live? I'm only going to make $9.00 an hour, is there anything that I could even afford?

You can get a roommate with a college student. SF State is very close to the zoo.

Or maybe look in the outer Sunset for a shared apartment.

Assuming it will still be a zoo for awhile, with the messed up Board of Supervisors you never know, I think William hit the nail on the head about looking for a room to share. There are a number of places to look. You can of course check craigslist. There's also the housing bulletin board at SFSU. That's an excellent resource but it's a physical bulletin board so you can't search from the comfort of home. Roommate.com is another popular resource.
