The sun rose a bright orange in San Francisco on Tuesday morning as ecstatic Giants fans continued celebrating the city’s first World Series championship up to — and beyond — the break of dawn. At waterfront AT&T Park, hundreds of Giants faithful waited till 4 a.m. for the team’s return from Texas, trophy in hand, even as countless other rowdy revelers blocked traffic, honked horns and lit trash-can bonfires. It was a delirious outpouring for a city that had not had a champion since the 49ers’ last Super Bowl title, more than 15 years ago, and for a Giants fan base that agonized over countless close wins this year, and all kinds of missed opportunities in decades past. What do you say about the Giants future performance?
