Question:

San Francisco swimming pool public for beginners?

Aside from taking a few swimming classes when I was a young kid, i haven't swam at all. Any swimming public places in san fran that is good, cheap, and not crowded?

    South San Francisco Orange Park Pool


  2. public pools, such as rossi, balboa, mission, etc. are cheap. I think they admission is $1.50 for adult, $.50 under 13/14? (well it was that price 5+ years ago) for lap/rec swim.

    St. Ignatius (SI) pool is more expensive ($4 admission) but generally less crowded. you usually get your own lane during lap swim hour, especially  on Sundays

    i would actually try to get some swimming lessons before you actually try to swim on your own. I heard UCSF has a good adult learn to swim program.
