San Jose DMV and San jose State

Question

Does anyone know if the San Jose DMV is anywhere near San Jose State University ? I am planning to take my permit test so obviously I can not drive so does anyone know where the SJ DMV is and it if it too far maybe some travel suggestions?

The closest DMV to San Jose State is at 111 W. Alma Ave.  Which is just a couple of blocks off of 1ST Street/Monterey Rd.  They are open on Saturdays in August.  It is best to make an appointment to save yourself time.  You can probably take a bus there.  Good luck.
