San Jose Sharks need three straight wins against Vancouver Canucks or its good-bye (Part 2)
San Jose Sharks now face the daunting task of winning three straight games out of which two games will be played at the Rogers Arena.
Sharks was in great trouble during the course of the regular season against Vancouver Canucks. Out of the four games that were played between the two teams during the regular season, Sharks managed to win only one and that too at the Rogers Arena in a shootout.
This would certainly give them confidence as well as something to think about as they won only one game but on away ice. Sharks’ coach, Todd McLellan, believes that whenever Sharks has been put in a difficult situation it performs the best.
"Their backs are against the wall as close as they can be", McLellan said. "We kind of laid it on the line in the third period tonight, that third phase, if you will, that's what we'll be looking to do in Vancouver. We know we've got a tough task ahead of
us.  Vancouver knows, we know, Detroit knows, Chicago knows that anything can happen".
This is what McLellan said after the fourth game of the series and is hopeful of the fact that the team will do quite well and still has a very good chance of winning the series and making their way into the Stanley Cup Finals.
Sharks will be taking tips from the Chicago Blackhawks who pulled themselves back into the series after trailing 3-0 to force a seventh game and same was the case with the Red Wings.
However, the disheartening thing about the two series is that both the teams lost the seventh and most crucial game of the series.
"We've been a resilient team all year", Sharks forward Logan Couture said. "I'm sure we still have some confidence in this room. I'm confident we can go in and win a game there”.
Sharks was absolutely poor on the power-plays in game four as they couldn’t score on any of the five power-plays coming their way.
Coupled with this was another thing that four of the power-plays came during the first period. There were numerous mental errors made by Sharks and if it is looking to improve and looking to wins games then it surely has to improve on their weaknesses.
San Jose Sharks is in a do-or-die situation where it needs to win the next three games to move forward and even a little slip-up can result in the San Jose men packing their bags and going home.
