San Jose Sharks play host to the league leaders Vancouver Canucks in their fourth and final meeting this season

The final game on Thursday will be hosted by San Jose Sharks as they play host to the league leaders, Vancouver Canucks, at the HP Pavilion Center.
This will be the fourth and final meetings between the two sides. Canucks won the first two games while Sharks won the last game between the two sides.
Sharks won the recent most recent game between the two sides on the 20th of January. Joe Pavelski scores the winning goal.
Both the top two teams in the Western Conference are on a role and the result on this game would determine the final standings in the league.
Sharks have come up with some of the most dominating ice hockey during the season which has seen them winning nine out of their last ten games.
Canucks, on the other hand, still have the ongoing inconsistency issues which have seen them losing games alternatively.
However, Canucks have been able to pile up some decent results which have seen them winning three games during their current five games road trip.
They spent most of the season not only leading the Conference but also the league. None of the teams have been able to challenge them and even with the current form they are in, it looks as if they would still top the league.
"We've been finding different ways to win so far on this road trip, which is nice," Canucks’ goalie Roberto Luongo said. "We've been playing some solid hockey, I think, not giving up too much and getting timely goals, which is very important at this stage
of the season."
Canucks have played 68 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 43 games during regulation time and nine games in overtime to score 95 points.
On the other hand, Sharks have played 67 games during the season out which they have won 39 games in regulation time and six games in overtime to score a total of 84 points.
Sharks have been playing some of the most dominating and brilliant ice hockey in their last few games. Not only have they excelled in the department of offence but their defence is one of the best. It looks as if whatever they do has very little wrong and
a lot of right and perfect.
Sharks are looking at the top spot in the Western Conference and with a win this time they can close down on Canucks. They won their most recent game against Nashville Predators by 4-3 in overtime.
"In the third period, we had a couple real good chances and I don't know how it stayed out actually," Ryane Clowe said. "It was nice to see the power play look sharp. Not every night are you going to score, but I think what the coaches look at is if we're
crisp and if we're building momentum and we were certainly doing that in the third."
