San Jose Sharks plays host to the Nashville Predators in their fourth and final meeting this season
The final game of Tuesday will be played at the HP Pavilion Center as the home team, San Jose Sharks, square off against Nashville Predators.
This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams during the course of the regular season.
All the games that have been played so far have been decided by a difference of a single goal. Predators won the first two games, 3-2 and 2-1, respectively.
However, Sharks managed to come up with a win in the most recent game which they won 2-1 after a close game in overtime.
Predators are currently outside the play-off cut and this will be the final game of their road trip.
However, Predators have 12 of their last 15 games on home ice with the next five games on home as well.
Predators have been decent over the past few games which have seen them scoring three out of a possible six points.
Predators saw themselves losing the game against Edmonton Oilers which was backed by a brilliant performance which saw them winning the game against Canucks keeping the clean sheet intact.
However, their last game this past Sunday against Calgary Flames was a very tight battle which saw Flames winning it by 3-2 in the end.
"This was for sure our biggest game of the year, so right now we're disappointed," Rinne said. "But at least we have a chance to bounce back right away in San Jose."
Both the teams have played 66 games during the course of the season out of which Sharks have won 38 games in regulation time and six games in overtime to score a total of 82 points.
On the other hand, Predators have won 33 games in regulation time and nine games in overtime to score a total of 75 points.
Sharks have been very impressive during the recent few games during which they have not only won games but have done so bagging some superb performances.
Sharks had maintained the eight games winning streak which was snapped by the Dallas Stars who won the game 3-2 in the end.
Sharks are in good shape ahead of the game as they have seen contributions from almost all the players on the roster.
Kyle Wellwood and Patrick Marleau have been absolutely outstanding as they have played a big role in Sharks coming across a lot of success.
"I don't think it was our best effort compared to the way we've been winning lately," Marleau said. "They did get a couple of good bounces that went their way but we had our opportunities to go ahead even more."
