San Jose Sharks wins 6-3 against Dallas Stars in a heated match in pursuit of the playoffs
The second last game of Tuesday was hosted by Dallas Stars at the American Airlines Arena as the home team was up against San Jose Sharks.
Both teams are in the play-off cut but keeping the heated up things in the Western Conference in mind, there isn’t any certainty as to which teams would qualify.
The game started off in cautious style by both teams. Though there were some potential score chances for both teams but they were unable to find the back of the net. The period ended with the scores deadlocked on 0-0.
The second period saw both teams attacking which resulted in both of them scoring twice during the course of the period. The period ended with the scores level on 2-2.
The final period saw Sharks stronger on the attacks and scoring four goals. This meant that Sharks won the game 6-3 in the end.
Joe Pavelski of Sharks was named Stars of the game as he came up with four assists during the game.
Stars made a decent start to the game where they came up with quite a few shots on goal but eventually Sharks took over. They dominated the game in the department offence and defence and their passing was very quick which gave the opposing no time to settle.
The period ended with no goals as the period ended with Stars making 9 shots on goal during the period while Sharks came up with 15 shots on goal.
The second period saw both teams coming out very strong on the offence as they came up with shots every now and then and their passing and play construction was absolutely brilliant.
Stars managed to score in the fourth minute through Mike Ribeiro from a decent strike to get into the lead. Stars continued to attack and scored once again in the 6th minute through Toby Peterson.
Sharks managed to fight their way back into the game and score twice in the 7th and 13th minutes through Joe Thornton and Dany Heatley to level the scores as the period ended.
The final period started off with Sharks scoring in the second minute through Ryane Clowe to get into the lead. Sharks doubled their lead with another goal in the 4th minute through Torrey Mitchell.
Stars managed to score in the 9th minute through Jamie Benn’s backhand shot but Sharks scored once again in the 19th minute through Joe Thornton.
Dany Heatley scored for Sharks in the final minute to complete a dominating performance by the team.
In the end, Sharks won the game by 6-3 as they made 8 shots on goal in the final period while Stars came up with 13 shots on goal.
