  1. Cecina de Res  (beef prepared with bell pepper, juice of bitter orange, garlic, salt and pepper)

Is that what you're looking for? Don't know any local restaurants...can I get a best answer anyway?!

  2. There is also something called "enchiladas potosinas". It was originally eaten by miners, so you can imagine the calories in it. It consists of tortillas that have been marinated in a tomato and chili pepper sauce (it is not spicy, though, and the sauce just gives them colour and flavour). Then, these tortillas are folded with either white cheese or chicken inside, covered with a mix of saute potatoes, carrots and cabbage, a bit of cream and some cream-cheese. Depending where you eat it, it might be served with a roasted chicken leg (I said it was miner's food!). It is really good AND heavy, so if you're on a diet, don't eat it. I don't know where you can have them, but if you come to Queretaro, you'll find the same under the name of "enchiladas queretanas" and the best place to eat them is "Cenaduria Blas", downtown, it only opens for dinner.

Hope this was what you were looking for.

    Buen provecho!
