San Cristobal de las Casas.

I went there in 1993. I  remember it was very quiet and romantic; full of churches, candies, small cafés and narrow streets.

I didn't want to get out of there  I loved the place.

San Cristobal de las Casas, is a beautiful place to visit, it is a tipical town in south of Mexico.

It is a pleasant highland city in the state of Chiapas with a population of about 150 thousand people.It is not a resort type destination but does have lots of interesting thing to see. It has a large indigenous population.I really enjoy it there because the pace is slower with less tourists than the more popular beach resort places you hear about.One word of caution though is that you must always ask permission before you photograph people there or suffer the consequences.The indigenous people here are often reluctant to be photographed.A very mellow place with many beautiful places to see in and around the city.

Unless you are looking for a party you should love it there.
