So every time I plug in my Sansa it says its charging for about 2 seconds and then it shows no battery and the back light of the spinner thing goes off. Its been plugged in for about 6 or 7 hours and there is no change in the battery.

If I could get this anwsered today that would be really great because im trying to charge it before Hurrican/Tropical Storm Fay comes.

  1. How old is it?  If it has more than about 1 year of continual use (daily charging, listening, charging), then the battery is shot.  They do that, you know -- especially the tiny ones.  They are good for about 1 year of continual use.

Even if it is relatively new, it sounds like a bad battery.

Either way the battery needs to be replaced.
