Sand Energy? I need help with a project. What can I use?

You may be referring to the oil sands in Canada.

There's as much oil in this sand as their is in the Saudi oil fields.  It's just harder to extract and process.

Sand energy?  I am not too sure on that one.  I would bet it would be a solar collector.  Have you ever walked barefoot across sand heated by the sun?  It can burn you.  I imagine a layer of sand about 3 inches deep or so and just under the surface, pipes that have water in them.  The sand heats the pipes.  I am not sure you can make steam from it but it would be one heck of a solar water heater.

I bet there are easier ways to make a solar water heater though.
