Sand stuck in bathing suit?

My mil took my daughter to the beach. She obviously didn't rinse the bathing suit out afterwards, and let it dry. Now there is little black specks of sand caught in the material all over the bathing suit and it looks terrible! I have washed it several times, but I think since it dried in there initially, it won't come out. Plus the suit is lined, so it seems to be stuck between the bathing suit material and the lining. I am so annoyed, Any ideas of how to get it out?

I once had a suit with a lining that was sewn in on all four sides in the crotch.  I had to carefully cut a slit in the lining to get sand out.  In the future, look for suits that double over the lining in that area, with the end open so that sand can escape.

soak it in water to get it out!!
