Question:

Sandals Grande in St Lucia?

I am wondering about the crowding at this resort. If you have been to the Grande, was it terribly crowded. My husband and I are planning a trip here in Dec for our 10th anniversary and after 10 years and 2 kids we just want to be quiet and more alone than anything. We dont want to be around partying people, thats why we chose St Lucia because it seems to be a bit more remote. Can anyone tell me about the crowds and the general feel of the atmosphere at the Grande. Bonus if you have been in early December.

  1. I have had several clients on their honeymoons at the Grande St. Lucian. All found the resort to be completely full, meaning they got no free upgrades for being on their honeymoon.

That being said, all of them reported that if you want to spend time secluded, you can. If you want to get involved in activities and partying, you can do that too. Remember that Sandals is not Hedonism, so the partying, while there, will not be as prevalent.

Also, though you are staying at the Grande, remember that there are 2 other Sandals on St. Lucia, and you can use their facilities as well. There should be a shuttle that runs between them. If you find the Grande to be too rowdy during the day, ask at the office how the other two are and maybe you can get some more quiet time over there during the day, and come back to the Grande at night.

Either way, without the kids, and no kids at Sandals at all, I'm sure you'll have a great time. If you have other questions, or need help in planning feel free to contact me directly. See my profile for contact information.
