Sandreamer all set for the track debut in the Bathwick Tyres St Hugh’s Stakes
The most impressive entry for the Class 1 Bathwick Tyres St Hugh’s Stakes (Listed Race) is the two-year-old bay filly, Sandreamer. The five furlong and thirty-four yard race will be hosted by Newbury on Friday, 17th August. The race has attracted a line-up of eleven two-year-old contestants who will take their chances at claiming the £13,043 prize money.
Oasis Dream’s bay filly has raced three times during the new season and has won only once.
She proved her incredible worth in the Chemtest/British Stallion Studs E B F Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 18th May, 2012 at Newmarket over six furlongs. Delivering the desired, she broke the maiden by the margin of a length while riding with jockey, Matthew Davies.
Missing the chance by only a length was, Sharaarah.
However, the Mick Channon trained really could not maintain the winning composure as she lost the ACD Projects Supporting The Animal Health Trust Empress Stakes (Listed Race) on 30th June, 2012 at Newmarket over six furlongs.
City Image won the race by the margin of 1 ¼ lengths and set the favourite entry of the race, Sandreamer, as the runner-up.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Baileys Jubilee.
The two-year-old bay filly then tried her luck in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Juddmonte Stakes on 28th July, 2012 at Ascot over six furlongs. For a straight second time she finished right after the favourite entry of the race.
Maureen won the race by the margin of 2 ¼ lengths and had Sandreamer following right behind.
Catching up with the third position behind the winner was, Hoyam.
Today is the first time that she will race at Newbury as before this two of her races were at Newmarket and the third one was at the Royal Ascot. It will be a straight third time that she will race with jockey, Martin Harley.
He will need to look out for Rosdhu Queen, Sound Of Guns and Lasilia. It is her third try at racing after breaking the maiden and calls for a victory post on the profile which has been deprived of it since a while now.
