  1. you can always go with a simple Pb&J

I don't know any kid that doesn't like that sandwich.

    or

Take two slices of wheat bread, spread sour cream and mustard on each slice, add three slices of honey roasted ham, sliced onion, a slice of tomato, a leaf of romaine lettuce, and a slice of cheese. yum.

  2. Peanut Butter Jelly is my personal choice but you can skip the Jelly for just the peanut sandwhich. Or you could do ants on a log in a forest of wheat...y'know Celery Pb and Raisens thats tasty there mmm... also you could maybe do a blt kids LOVE bacon...and meatballs with slightly mealted provalone soo good mmmm...sorry but thats all i have hope i helped :)

  3. PB&J, tuna with mayo, egg salad, ham or turkey and cheese.  It's all good.

It's just the fact that the sandwiches get squishy if made too early.  You can easily put things in small baggies and leave the bread alone, so they have to make it themselves.  My stepdaughter does that when going to work.

  4. Humus and cucumber with chilli sauce,

    erm

    chicken and chutney with spinach

    erm

    cheese and pickle

    red pepper and cheese spread

    peanut butter and marmite

in the suppliments this weekend was this article on picnics with loads of yummy combinations. Ask the kids to have a look and tell you what they fancy.

  5. tuna melt, pizza buns, ham and cheese, blt, anything from subway would work :)

  6. Nutella. (I don't like it but kids do)

    Chicken Salad.

Chicken breast/cheese Pitas in the little mini pita breads

Cut out the sandwiches with a cookie cutter (not a filling but the kids love it)

    jam and cream cheese

Sliced Banana and peanut butter (add jam or honey if your kids like it)

    3 cheese (cheddar, jack, mozzarella)

ham, cheese and chips or fritos inside

cream cheese, chopped celery and bbq chips (sounds weird, but its good)

cream cheese or peanut butter and goldfish crackers on top - open face

My faves when I was young:

build your own:  my mom would slice bread into quarters (2 slices) and put salami, quartered turkey or ham slices and cheese slices in another baggie, and some lettuce or cucumber slices and I would make my own little sandwiches at lunch.  And little packets of mustard and mayo or ranch -  it was fun.

My very favorite was a spaghetti sauce sandich -  she would pack a slice of buttered sourdough bread in a baggie and put meaty spaghetti sauce in another baggie.  I would open a corner of the baggie and squirt it on the bread.

hope this helps.  have more if you can be more specific about your kid's taste...

  7. I have three kids and I found that variety is the key.  My kids particulary love when I mash every thing up with cream cheese.  Like tuna, mayo & cream cheese.  Ham, tomatoes & cream cheese.  Chicken & cream cheese.  Hard boiled egg & cream cheese!!  When you mash every thing up its easy to spread on sandwiches and the kids won't remove the ingredients they think they dont like.
