Sandy Hatfield honoured with Kentucky Farm Manager of the Year title
Sandy Hatfield, thoroughbred manager at Three Chimneys Farms, has been honoured with the title, 2011 Kentucky Farm Manager of the Year.
She would be formally presented with the award next month in September. The ceremony would be held at the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers Premier Event.
Sandy has been privileged with this honour due to her devotion to the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers Club as she also serves at the club as the president. She has been dedicated to the management and welfare of thoroughbreds her entire life. She has also worked tirelessly for achieving prosperity and excellence in the thoroughbred managing community.
Sandy Hatfield has a passion for thoroughbred welfare and care. She has numerous duties and responsibilities on her shoulders. She serves as the ambassador to thoroughbred industry. Each year buyers come to Kentucky to buy thoroughbreds and Sandy Hatfield deals on the thoroughbred community’s behalf with the. She deals with press coverage and press releases relevant to events and happenings at the Three Chimneys Farm. She supervises thoroughbred breeding at the farm as well.
The Three Chimneys Farm has a total of 11 stallions namely, Big Brown, Dynafomer, Exchange Rate, Flower Alley, Good Reward, Yes It’s True, Point Given, Red Giant, Sky Mesa, War Chant, and Lewis Michael. The supervision and welfare of these thoroughbreds also rests with Sandy Hatfield.
Sandy Hatfield has a vast experience in farm management and thoroughbred supervision. She joined Three Chimney Farms ten years ago in 2000.
From 1992 to 2000, Sandy gained experience as a stallion manager at Gainsborough Farm. She collectively holds a nine year experience at Calumet Farm and North Ridge Farm for the same position.
Apart from Kentucky Farm Managers Club she also holds the presidency of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass Club.
Speculating on being presented with this prestigious award Sandy Hatfield said, "'Humbled’ is the best way to describe how I feel".
She also added that the Club is an esteemed group of people and the previous winners of this title are men and women that are highly regarded by her. She says that being honoured with this award is one of the milestones of her career.
One look at Sandy Hatfield’s career shows what a talented and dedicated farm manager and most importantly human being she is. The thoroughbred community as well as Three Chimney Farm’s owners must be truly grateful to have her on board with them.
