  1. I work for a company based in Beacon Court in Sandyford.  It's a great area to work, easy to get to with many bus routes:

and also the Luas.  Sandyford is undergoing a change at the moment, lots of construction going on and more amenities being built - Beacon South Quarter will have a shopping mall with restaurants and cafes, as well as a gym.  There are also over 600 apartments being built there so if you'll happen to be looking to rent somewhere closer to where you work there'll be a market for it, I just bought an apartment there and hope to rent in the future.  All in all I'd recommend Sandyford as a great place to work, it has the transport links and actually has places to go for your lunch hour rather than being stuck at your desk!

  2. I work there, am I'm currently typing from there, in my workplace lol, I should really get to work!

Anyway it's a nice place, the people are friendly, the places around here is nice. There's a small little shop right next to the Microsoft college next to it...there's some cafes and a bus route that runs straight throught it for the 11, 115, 114, which goes straight to Blackrock Station, and that leads through Dublin, or straight down to Bray. Good luck with your job prospects

    :-)

  3. As the man said:  The Dart (like the Tube in London, but overland) runs direct to Dublin (about 15 mins) and to Bray (20 mins).  Sandymount is neither here nor there - it is on the outskirts of Dublin but still Urban.  It has one of the largest beaches you will ever see.  The tide goes out for what seems a couple of miles.  Don't get caught out, it comes in fast.  I just thought of Dun Laoghaire, 8 minutes by bus or Dart and Killiney about 15 mins.  Killiney is nice but the beach is mostly stoney.  Bray seafront has plenty of hotels with bars where there is regular Irish music, especially at weekends.  Bray Head for a good climb/walk up to the Cross.  Greystones further out but not much to see..........................
