were banned, whereas, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided not to pick any player who failed to provide documentation regarding banking transactions.
However, Malik has been successful in providing all the documents, but it took him one year, in which he missed out on some very important international assignments, including the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011.
The former captain believes that Sania’s experience of being a high profile Tennis player came for his benefit, as she advised him to be patient during the bad times. The two of them got married last year and a lot of media hype was given
to their wedding internationally.
Shoaib said, “My wife Sania has helped me a lot. She's been playing international tennis for the past 10 to 12 years and the advice she gave me from her experiences in the highs and lows of her tennis career, was invaluable. She's a great
life partner and her support has been brilliant."
Malik has been a brilliant all-rounder for Pakistan in limited overs cricket, where he has played some outstanding innings at different batting positions. He was appointed the captain of Pakistan team after the country’s disastrous campaign
in the ICC World Cup 2007, in the Caribbean.
He admitted that the last one year has been very tough for him but said that he is focused now on performing exceptionally for his country in the future and wants to see Pakistan among the best teams of the world.
"No doubt about it, the past 12 months since the tour of England have been very tough. However the bad times came and they have gone. Now I just want to concentrate on my cricket and do well for my country and see them in the top 3 rankings
in all formats of the game,” Malik added.
