After the Ind-Aus series Manjrekar made the infamous "elephant in the room" comment about Tendulkar when he wasn't dropped from the ODI side whereas Dravid and Ganguly were. He was made to eat his own words when Tendulkar outperformed everybody else in the CB series finals. Towards the end of the Ind-SA series he became a Tendulkar supporter where he said that India missed Tendulkar during the series against the Saffers.

Manjrekar makes me sick. What do you guys think?

  1. tendulkar

  2. If anything, Sanjay Manjrekar has only the utmost and total respect for the great man...

In all his interviews, he felt passionately about Sachin and also about his country. The comment that he made about Sachin, down under, was maybe too harsh, especially considering the record of Sachin in ODI's

But it is a fact, that not many runs were scored by Sachin before the outburst in the Finals. I believe that Sanjay should not be criticized for speaking his mind. After all everybody is entitled to his opinion and this is what job is...

  3. Well i think he is a very good commentator and he does his job very well. Everybody is free to make there own comments, and when he spoke about Tendulkar, I thought there was a good logic, why not drop him when you drop players like Dravid and Ganguly. Tendulkar performed well because he wasn't dropped, who knows?Ganguly or Dravid might also have scored centuries if given the chance!!

  4. Sanjay is a very good commentator. What he said at that time was in the context of that particular time.

  5. He gets  a lot of publicity by writing any extreme thing about gr8 players like Tendulkar.
