Sannatasah Saniru defeats Lim Chiew Sien in Women’s Singles Group B at National Circuit GP Finals
Malaysia’s promising player Sannatasah Saniru showed a great performance on court and overpowered her un-seeded team-mate Lim Chiew Sien in Women’s Singles Group B at Maybank National Circuit GP Finals 2012 in Malaysia, on Thursday, December 27.
The fourth seeded Sannatasah, who proved her worth in the arena, played with staggering precision and managed to thrash her lower ranked challenger in a close fashion while taking 39 minutes.
Sannatasah had to work really hard in the arena and she elevated her game at the right moment and remained successful in winning the contest in straight sets with a close margin.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Lim Chiew also entertained the local crowd with her impressive skills as she troubled her higher ranked challenger all the way. But she remained unlucky in the end and lost the match with a respectable total on the board.
It was a crunchy fight in the starting rallies when Sannatasah showed a wonderful display of her craft in the arena.
The impressive craft and wonderful strategy helped Sannatasah to put her rival in all sorts of trouble on court.
Sannatasah did not show any sign of confusion as she remained in complete control of rallies until the end of first half.
After the mid-game break, Sannatasah was focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a reasonable gap.
The positive and aggressive play of Sannatasah helped her to grab the first game with a stunning margin of 21-17.
However, in the second game, the un-seeded Lim Chiew played with aggression and managed to stay close to her challenger in the opening points.
Until the one-minute break, both shuttlers remained close on the board as no one could manage a considerable lead.
After the one-minute interval, the attacking and positive play of Sannatasah helped her to stay in commanding position and he managed to end up the second game with a close margin of 21-19.
Sannatasah proved her mettle in this Group A clash as she played positive badminton all the way and emerged as the winner in straight games with a tight 21-17 and 21-19 score on the board.
