okay, so i've been dancing en pointe for 3 years now and i've always had Gamba pointe shoes up untill now and i loved them to death but apparently my feet are too strong now to dance in the type of Gamba's i had so i ended up with sansha's (the pointe dancer's worst nightmare in my opinion) they are so painful i was told not to try to break them in too much by the fitter who sold my shoes untill now because they have very week shank's so i've been trying to break them in properly and they are still killing my feet like 100X more than the Gamba's did. i really need some advice if anybody has any soon that would be great!

thankyou :)

  1. just try different shoes...

  2. try grishko they can add an extra shank if u want it i think its called super hard

  3. Try toe pads by Eurotard, they are very light but provides lots more support and comfort. Ask you instructor if you can try Bloch or Russian Pointe, these are pointe shoe brands that are very HARD and are especially for people with feet like you and me. I strongly suggest Gaynor Minden because you can customize the size, width, shank, vamp, and heel. I've had my Gaynors for 11 months and they're SO comfortable, sometimes I use Grishkos and they wear out in 2 months!

It's also important to break them in, and it doesn't mean that they will wear faster. It means more comfort, and that means a better appearance.

    Hope I helped!

  4. I would get a different pair of shoes. go to a different fitter and get their opinions. i would try russian pointes or capezios. they have good shanks. if they are killiing you they are not right!. dont kill your feet. get new shoes. wen you dance you dont want to focus on ur pain you want to focus on everythign else!
