Manchester City striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roque-Santa-Cruz-c31778 has admitted that he is quite happy with the fact that he got to represent the club in their pre season tour.
The forward spent all of last season on loan with Real Betis and prior to that, the striker had failed to make an impact at the club.
In fact he was placed way down the pecking order and rarely made any appearances for the team.
Now with the likes of Aguero, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 and Edin Dzeko, all being at the club, it seemed highly unlikely for him to get any time on the pitch for the team.
With him making appearances against Wolfsburg and Limerick, the striker has been given new hope and he had revealed his delight for representing City once again.
"For me, it was great to play for 70 minutes – I had a good, long season last year and I'm just coming back from holiday and feeling good, looking forward to what is coming in the next two weeks," Santa Cruz stated to the club's official website.

"There are a couple of players who haven't played so much this pre-season so it was good to have a game and build up some match fitness."

The Paraguayan striker had a lot of praise for Edin Dzeko, as he feels the striker had come a long way over the last season and from here on, the sky is the limit for the striker.
There had been a lot of rumours floating about, which claimed that Dzeko was set to be on his way out of City, but Santa Cruz feels that his pre season form is bound to give him a confidence boost.

"I'm really pleased for Edin to come back in and get a couple of goals after his injury," Santa Cruz observed.
"It's really good for his confidence looking ahead to the new season."
Despite the striker having the best of intentions, he needs to realize that theoretically there is no future for him at City and it would be smarter for him to pursue a move out of the club in the summers.
