I was just offered Ryan Braun for Johan Santana. Should I accept this deal? I don't think my pitchin would be that bad if i let him go but i think my offense would significantly better by adding Braun. Your thoughts?

Here's my team:

C - Martin

1B - Fielder

2B - Uggla

3B - Aramis Ramirez

SS - Hanley Ramirez

OF - Markakis

OF - Carlos Lee

OF - Pence

Util - Huff

Util - Abreu

BN - Hunter, Doumit

SP - J. Santana, Haren, Verlander, Cain, Nolasco, Parra, Buchholz

RP - Soria, Morrow, Torres

thanks...

  1. I don't think it's a move you need to make right now.  You can't find an outfielder better than Pence in Free Agency (I assume you would use him in the outfield)?  What's wrong with ARam? The Mets are on a tear right now.  Santana is poised for a strong second half.  The wins will come.  The rest of the stats have been there all along (although as a Mets fan, I feel it wouldn't kill him to pitch an extra inning or two a start).

  2. You already have a great offense with Fielder, Uggla, Lee, A&H Ramirez. Your pitching staff is young and without Santana as your Ace you just lost a valuable player on your roster. I agree Braun may help you with your offense but, your offense is already stacked. Don't take the deal. Santana is way to valuable.

  3. braun is a great 3b probably the best in the nl johan isn't the best pitcher in the nl

you team will easily hold up without him
