Santi Cazorla could be the man to end Arsenal’s barren run

Arsenal’s new summer signing Santi Cazorla has taken the Premier League by storm. With his magical and unreal performances in the heart of their midfield; orchestrating attack after attack with his nimble, graceful feet, his exquisite first touch, his neat
dribbling skills and his ferocious shot power, the player has been nothing short of impressive.
After struggling to give birth to a creative spark in their midfield last season, especially failing to fill the void left by the departures of Cesc Fabregas and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360, the club had to rely on its wingers, and a certain Dutch striker for all their
goals.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 with beautifully weighted lofted through balls, which the striker directed towards goal effortlessly.
However, the Cameroonian also left the club this summer, along with Van Persie, who scored more than 30 goals for the club last season. The loss of both players was seen as a major blow to the club’s chances of success this campaign. It was all doom and
gloom for the once mighty Gunners, and another trophy-less season lay in wait.
However, the club managed to sign two major strikers in the form of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 and the unnaturally good looking Olivier Giroud, who can make most handsome man look pale in comparison. Both strikers have scored for the club, and are settling in what looks
to be an impressive and mature http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 side.
Despite both players looking promising, the most important signing for the club has been Santi Cazorla. There seems to be a certain aura about Spanish players these days; there’s something unreal and unnatural about the way they’re built and the way they
play. Effortlessly gliding and hovering over the pitch, with the ball seemingly taped or glued to their feet, these players make defenders look clueless and helpless as they almost float by, ready to score or create a chance for their teammates.
Cazorla, for me, is the signing of the season, without a doubt. Many had not even heard of the Spaniard, who arrived from Malaga during the last days of the transfer window. Many compared him to Chelsea’s Juan Mata, who himself has been a revelation for
the Blues and a joy to watch.
Despite having big names such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 would not have been top of the table had it not been for Mata, who plugs all the chords and pulls all the strings from the heart of the Blues’ midfield.
Do not get me wrong, I highly rate Mata and I think he is a world class talent. At the age of 24, he has a lot of room for improvement and to grow as one of the league’s best midfielders. Mata is however no Cazorla, by any stretch of the imagination.
Cazorla is in a class of his own. The player is an absolute joy to watch and to behold. When he gets the ball in his feet, it’s like he almost tells it what to do, without even the merest of touches. The midfield maestro has been a blessing, a gift from
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, with an eye for the most ridiculous of passes and the ability to control the tempo of the game; something Arsenal have lacked since Fabregas went back to the club he grew up supporting as a child.
Cazorla recently scored a stunner of a goal against West Ham in an impressive 1-3 victory at Upton Park. The goal pretty much sums up what the player is all about; the run across the goal and the audacity to lift the ball over into the top right corner,
without even as much as a swerve or a dip. It was as if the goal was a magnet, and the ball was a piece of metal, helplessly attracted towards it.
That was arguably the goal of the season for me, and an appropriate way to complete the comeback. Arsenal have a number of new players, a solid back four and a certain ‘oomph’ about their approach. With the likes of experienced players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002, the team looks ready to win some silverware.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santi-Cazorla-c32505 visibly stands out among this crop of talented players, and could very well be the key to unlocking the Gunners’ barren run. Here’s hoping there’s more brilliance to come from the Spanish genius.
