Santonio Holmes?????

I think we can tell Hines Ward is slowing down, and hasn't been having any good years since 2004. He had a good year in 2005, which the Steelers won the Super Bowl in.

Santonio Holmes had a dynamite with 8 TD's, and 60 yards shy of 1,000 receiving yards. Santonio is supposed to have an even better year, and is supposed to be in the top or 15 receivers in the league. He's not gonna be the first string, he will still be behind Ward, but they will have both of them on the field at the same time.

Can Santonio Holmes live up to all of the hype he has this year, or will he have an ok year?

  1. Gazzap are you kidding the harder schedule FAVORS santonio because then they have to throw to come back in games. This guy WILL be at Top 5 wideout i know it seems crazy but he will have a GREAT year. i say 1500 and 13 Td's. Oh and look at the Depth chart Holmes is #1 now.

Also the best WR will be Andre Johnson.

  2. Yes they both will be on the field at the same time because in football you always have atleast 2 receivers on the field at the same time unless you are in a goaline formation. I think he will have a better than average year. He wont be as good as a randy moss or a T.O. or Braylon Edwards but he will be good. I predict 8-12 TD receptions and right round 1000yds receiving.

  3. i agree with andy,i also think santonio is going to have a breakout year,he's settling down and getting in the grove of things it's gonna be a great year for the steelers!!!!!

  4. Santonio has a huge oppurtunity this year to have a great season......HOWEVER, the Steelers have the toughest schedule in NFL history (playing teams who averaged .598) so even if Ben has the year he's predicted, Santonio probably won't get as much yardage as last season.

The same can be said for the entire Steelers' offense in the coming year mind. If they come out of this season 9-7 or better, it will be a huge achievement for them!

  5. I am a Bengals fan and even I will admit he is a pretty darn good wide out.  I think he can live up to all the hype.

  6. I am looking at this being Santonio Holmes' breakout year.  Ward is still the number one on paper but Holmes is going to have a big year if he's healthy all year.

  7. If he and Ben stay healthy, I see a pro bowl season out of him.
