“Retiring” last autumn, Fabrice Santoro decided to return to Melbourne to add just one more Grand Slam tournament to the 69 he’d already accumulated. The 37-year-old bowed out in the first round, but can now walk away saying he’s played 70 Grand Slams in a career that has spanned across four separate decades. His next closest rival on the list of most Grand Slams played is Andre Agassi, who completed in 61 majors.
