Santos coach Muricy Ramalho admits that Neymar might leave sooner rather than later
Santos coach Muricy Ramalho has revealed that Neymar might soon be on his way out of the Brazilian club.
Ramalho has revealed that with the new interest that all the European clubs are showing in the talented forward, it is going to be a real challenge to hold onto the nineteen year old and hence he could be sold in 2012.
So far, Santos have been quite hesitant on letting anyone get their hands on the talented teenager. The likes of Real Madrid, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 rejected all approaches made by the three clubs.
Nonetheless, it now seems like the forwards days in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 are coming to an end, as Santos just can’t ward off all this foreign interest any longer.
"It is almost certain that in the next year [Santos] will not be able to hold on to [Neymar]. There is a lot of harassment around the player. It is impressive that the club has managed to hold out this long," Ramalho admitted.
As a result, it is now believed that the youngster will be on his way out after the 2012 Copa Libertadores campaign. As a result, we can all expect another saga over the transfer of Neymar next summer.
Ramalho however admitted that despite the team almost being certain to lose out on the player, the way the club has handled the situation is rather impeccable.
"They are doing everything right, without too much talk and leaving you guys [referring to reporters] in doubt. The kid has also done well, he has come through a tough run of games playing well."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639 started to represent Santos in the 2009 season and has since then gone on to become the team’s most influential player. Over the three years that the player has spent at the club, he has gone on to make a hundred and forty eight appearances for the team, while scoring seventy one goals and picking up thirty four assists along the way. Those statistics are quite remarkable for a player of any age and considering the player is still nineteen, it is safe to say that he is only going to get better as time progresses.
There is no clear indication over just how much the transfer of the player if going to cost all the European teams showing interest in him, but a fee worth around forty million pounds might just do the trick.
