Santos forward and Brazilian international Neymar has gone on to claim that he can be much better than Lionel Messi, if he is given the right platform to prove his worth on.
The striker has been linked with moves to the likes of Real Madrid, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 were rumoured to be on the brink of landing the player on a number of occasions this transfer window.
The striker has proven that he has exceptional talent flowing through his veins and his performances have even won him the praise of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pele-c40189. However, it seems like the player really doesn’t need much motivation after all, since he seems to
be his biggest fan.
Neymar has gone on to state that according to him, he could be as big as, if not bigger than Messi.
The Brazilian forward is quoted to have said: ''I can be as big as him, or even better. I'm sure of it."
The player seemed to be in the right state of mind when making those comments and was definitely not talking about big bigger then Messi in a vertical height way. Had that been the case, then most would have agreed with the player, but considering he is
yet to move out of the Brazilian league and really push his boundaries in Europe, it is a long shot to him ever being as good as Messi.
Neymar was then asked about his future and if there was any truth to the rumours linking him with a move out of Santos. When asked those questions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639 responded by stating: ''I'm not talking about the future. I'm only focused on the national team and
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532, and then we'll see what happens. It is not an issue I need to worry or talk about.''
Considering the forward is still only nineteen years old, he still has a long road ahead of him, in order for him to prove his worth. Should he move to Europe and match Messi’s records, then he can silence all of his critics, but until then it is best if
he just sticks to playing football and avoids comparing himself to the best players in the world.
