Santos midfielder Ganso rejects talks of Milan switch; Siena give up on Gilett: Serie A news
Ganso denies Milan link
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 midfielder, Ganso, has denied reports linking him with a move to Italian Champions, A.C Milan.
Reports in the Italian media yesterday revealed that the Brazilian is keen on a move to join Massimiliano Allegri’s troops in the January transfer window of 2012. Ganso revealed that he was misinterpreted by the media and he did
not say such thing.
Ganso told on his social networking site, Twitter: "I did not give the statement reproduced in the Gazzetta dello Sport. In the mixed-zone in Pecaembu, several journalists were there and heard what I said.”
The 21-year-old is linked with Milan for some time now and the club CEO, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, is known to be a huge admirer of the player, as he sees him as an ideal replacement for Kaka. Ganso’s playing style is similar to his compatriot,
Kaka, who left the Rossoneri to join Real Madrid in 2009.
The midfielder’s 2010/11 season was hampered by a host of injury concerns, which kept him out of action for major portions of the campaign. The injury cooled down the interest of clubs like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid and Juventus in him and none
of the clubs have yet come up with a concrete offer for the player.
On the other hand, Santos are reluctant to part company with their prized asset and have slapped a 20-million-pounds price tag on the player.
Siena give up Gillet chase
Newly promoted Serie A side, Siena, have lost hope in the pursuit of Bari goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jean-c18112 Francois Gillet, who wants to join Bologna or Torino.
Siena’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 director, Giorgio Perinetti, revealed, “We like the player, but I don't think he will come. I believe that he will end up at either Bologna or at Torino, given that Toro boss Giampiero Ventura has specifically
requested him."
Gillet has confirmed that he will leave Bari after they were relegated from the Serie A in the 2010/11 season. The player has attracted interest from several Italian clubs and is expected to join Torino in the next few days.
Siena are in the market for a new goalkeeper and their manager, Giuseppe Sannino, is a huge admirer of the 32-year-old but is certain to miss out on him.
