The Brazilian club’s vice-president has put an end to rumours suggesting that the club is gearing up to bring back their former striker in a deal with AC Milan.
Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues has sidelined all rumours of the club’s interest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382, while admitting that the outfit is looking for attacking re-enforcements in the summer transfer window.
Reports in the media suggested that AC Milan is looking for bids for the Rossoneri striker, and could consider selling the player for an offer of above €15 million.
The media also reported that the Brazilian outfit are lining up a bid for their former goalscorer, which could also see them offer goalkeeper Rafael http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cabral-c8232, who is of interest to the Diavolo.
However, the Peixe chief has denied all reports of any such intention on part of the club.
Odilio Rodrigues admitted that there is a desire within the club to add to their attacking line-up, but stressed that no approach has been made for Robinho as yet.

While talking to the press, the Santos chief said:
“There is a need for reinforcements at the club, but there is nothing at the moment being done with Robinho. He has a strong relationship with our club, but for now he is working with Milan and he is happy.”

The Santos boss revealed that his club made a contact with the Italian giants to encourage a move for their goalkeeper Rafael, but maintained that no approach has been made by the outfit on the matter.
“We did speak with Milan about Rafael earlier this year, but no official proposal ever came through.”
Robinho began his professional career as a footballer at Santos before his move to Real Madrid, and also spent a brief spell on loan to the Brazilian outfit in 2010.
