Recent reports reveal that Chelsea have signed a pre-contract with Lucas Piazon, the 17-year-old Sao Paulo midfielder. The Blues are rumored to have paid a fee of £8 million for the youngster who has earned heavy comparison to Real Madrid’s Kaka.
Piazon is too young to make a move, which is why he will have to wait until his 18th birthday to make the move to Stamford Bridge. This means he can join the Blues in the next winter transfer window, by which time he will be old enough to sign
a proper contract.
Chelsea have been keeping an eye on the Brazil under-19 international for a while now and confirmed in an official statement released by the club, “The player has signed a pre-contract agreement and is expected to join us in January 2012 on a long-term deal.”
