Santos wingback Alex Sandro on the verge of signing for Porto – Portuguese Primeira Liga Update
Santos defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Sandro-c4798 is on the verge of completing a move to Porto according to the player’s agent, Pablo Miranda.
The Brazilian U-20 International has been a star attraction for Santos in the Brazilian Serie A, while also showing his class with the national team. He has gained ravenous reviews for his scintillating performances and is touted as a star of the future.
Bulging with talent, he has proved his abilities to be far greater than Brazil’s highest division and he is a confirmed target of several European clubs, with notable interest from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.
Portuguese clubs Porto and Benfica both were hotly pursuing the youngster, with the Eagles being considered the favourites. However, the Lisbon side were unable to present a financially lucrative offer and the Portistas swooped in a deal with their fiscal
power, prising Sandro out of the hands of the Reds.
"We only work with concrete proposals, not on speculation. We have agreed on the right contract with them [Santos].” The agent has revealed.
"They gave us the go-ahead we have agreed to discuss the salary now. It only remains to formalize the deal itself now.
"With Benfica, we did not get what we think [we should be getting] and what Alex Sandro [should be getting]. Porto came in with an offer and we agreed with them immediately," said Pablo Miranda.
The Dragons have reportedly signed the Selecao International to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristian-c9491 Săpunaru, who is being put up for sale despite playing an integral role in the club’s haul of the quadruple.
The Romanian International arrived at Porto for a €2.5 million and the club are now looking to cash in on him while his market value remains high. The Portuguese outfit have reportedly placed a €25 million price tag on his services but are willing to haggle
for proposals less than their valuation.
With Săpunaru’s exit looking very likely, Sandro will be his direct replacement on the left side of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904.
Although he has shown composure and maturity beyond his age, it remains to be seen whether he can replicate his success in the Portuguese league.
