I had a lightning strike which fried 5 TVs back in June, When I took them to be repaired, 3 were deemed not reparable and 2 Sanyo TVs were repaired by the repairman, One is doing fine and has worked ever since. The other was supposedly repaired but when I brought it home it stayed on only a few minutes and then switched itself off. IT could not be turned back on until I waited several minutes. then I could get it back on but only for a limited time ranging from 3 to 45 minutes. I have had it back to the repairman at least five times. He says it works perfectly at his place and he sent it to a factory authorized repair place and they had it on for a week and said it worked perfectly. I called the power company and they checked the voltage and everything leading into my house.I then called in an electrician and had him check all the outlets in the house. they all checked out normal. While it is on,the picture is perfect and the sound is perfect. The electrician installed a new surge protector on the power panel when he was here. We have tried taking it to our neighbor's home where the same problem occured. We love the TV and would certainly want to have it back as it was before the lightning strike.
