Sanyo TV has no picture?

I have a 27 inch Sanyo TV, Model number DS25380. It works fine sometimes but earlier the picture and sound went out and everything was (snowy) white dots and a static sound. I took the back off the TV and tightened the part that the cable hooks into. It worked fine after that (slighly fuzzy picture) Just now the TV went out again. This time tightening that same part wont work. What is the part called? Its the part that you hook the cable or the antenna into, attached to the back of the TV, it has a plug attached to the other side when you take the whole thing out from inside. I am assuming I need to replace it. Looked for the name on Google but found nothing. I really want to fix it because now I'm stuck with my old 19 inch TV ! I would really appreciate any help I can get! Thanx

  1. Sanyo had lots of problems with their  tuners. Sounds like you may be having troubles with yours. What you can try,if you have a sat receiver or cable box, is to hook the AUDIO & VIDEO outputs from the receiver to your A/V inputs on the tv (if you have it on the tv). If you have the tv apart, try tapping on the tuner (It's rectangle in shape & looks like a silver can soldered to the main printed circuit board), it may cause the picture to cut in & out.

    Good Luck!
